It’s estimated that half the world’s adult population has gum disease, and that most people will have some degree of it at least once in their life. It occurs when a buildup of plaque and tartar begins to irritate and inflame your gums. The best method of prevention is brushing teeth twice a day, flossing and regularly visiting the dentist.
